The inflation outlook of analysts that had been watching Mexico had sharply raised for next year, following tax hikes by Congress. This had been showed via poll on Tuesday, and could easily put some pressure on the central bank for it to have its interest rates raised.
The monthly poll of economists and analysts of the bank, in late November, had showed inflation expectations which had jumped to nearly five percent, in October of 2010. This would be compared to a forecast of a little over four and a half percent, just one month earlier.
