From Soap Operas to Gambling

Media conglomerate Televisa announced that is plans a big expansion into the world of gaming. Normally known for soap operas and pop stars it has decided that electronic lottery machines will prove to be a very lucrative business. It plans to invest $60 million this year into gaming.

Funk 8 Under Par

Fred Funk leads in the Mexico PGA by birdying five of his first seven holes and finishing with an 8-under 62. Earlier this week he had to make a choice between the Mayakoba Golf Classic and the Champions Tour event in Florida and ended up in Mexico and he was very glad he did.

Basketball Coach Gone at End of Season

Coach Ritchie McKay is to be fired with three years remaining on his contract. With three regular-season games remaining and the Mountain West tournament McKay says "Please don't be sad for me. It's just the close of a chapter".
